July 30 - Dalvay by the sea

8.30 departure under sunny skies, 65 degrees after some rain overnight. 10 miles on route 6, some gently rolling hills by farms with decent bike lane. Then into national park and onto a private road to robinsons island. Nice dirt trail with some mountain bike features (teeter-totter), views across the water to north rustico. Then along beach path to dalvay, and back on route 6 (into the wind) for lunch at Deckers in Bradley beach. Everyone enjoying the riding! 12 more miles back to the house and some beach/nap time. Good first riding day with the crew. Dinner for 9 at fisherman's wharf, rest stayed in. First flat. 47 miles.
