July 31 - Cavendish II

Another beautiful day - can't continue right? Big breakfast then back to Cavendish to meet up with some dunes trail walkers, bikers doing 3 laps to their one. Stunning scenery by the ocean, fields and bays. Eating wild wheat berries and finally learned why there's only high "diurnal" tide daily here. Lunch at big house before naps and beach. Jason is trying to convince us to do the 273km tip to tip Confederation trail as a 24 of Lemans-pei edition (he thinks we can even do it all in the 16 hours of daylight, just need a couple shuttle drivers) - how good is that? Took off the afternoon to play in the waves, water warm and almost big enough to body surf, the ocean feature is a good addition to the bike trip! Salmon dinner at the big house, games (telestrations - humans boiling in a pot, dinosaur in a bottle) and fun times. 24 miles.
